SARAH FROST DESIGNS
IN COLLABORATION WITH:
WEBSITE / UI DESIGNER
SEPTEMBER 2021 - NOVEMBER 2021
UX / UI DESIGN
For this project I was given full creative control over redesigning the website for Sarah Frost Designs. With the previous site being built via SquareSpace, the client requested this site to be designed using the WiX platform for its user accessibility.
Sarah creates beautiful bespoke xxx and wanted to emphasise the hand made craft that goes into her products.
I started this project by colour picking from images of the client's products. The colours used in the products changes alongside the availability of material, and so it was agreed that the site would fit the brand best if it were to be mostly monochromatic with hints of popular and regular colours throughout.
CONSIDERING USER JOURNEY
Site to be a homepage/advert for bespoke projects, whilst also allowing visitors to directly purchase ready made products. in order to achieve this in a seamless manner for the user, the clients Etsy page was embedded into the site using HTML.
DEFINING THE PROBLEMS
ISSUES WHILST MAKING PROJECTS
TROUBLESHOOTING/PROBLEM SOLVING DURING PROJECT.
CONTAINER BOXES HIGHLIGHTING ERRORS WITH CODED ENVIRONMENTS, AND SHOW HOW THESE HAVE BEEN EDITING/CHANGED. EG. EXPAND SCREEN FOR ADDED FUNCTIONALITY.
In order to overcome design difficulties with the user journey, a simpler homepage navigation path was integrated/deployed.
Landing > Homepage > About > Shop
The final UI comprises of simple, elegant and easy to navigate pages which follow a logical and functional design whilst also being aesthetically pleasing.
