ART WORK
A collection of paintings, drawings and animations created during my final year of Art School and beyond - all which aim to question the role of Memetics (namely internet memes) in the development of our identities and the often naive or faux sense of a collective being in which virtual environments propagate.
I find internet memes to be a really interesting mode of visual communication and personally believe they are brushed off far too easily as 'empty' or 'devoid of meaning' when in actuality they are vessels for mass participation in creative design - visual language often transcends the barriers of human communication - and this is something which I think should be both recognised and celebrated.
Memes constantly evolve in the same way I'd like to think my ideas do - forever adapting and changing with their surroundings.
